For many young people and women from low-income households, the gap between wanting a job and being job-ready can feel impossible to close. Nitya Foundation's vocational training programs - including our work as an implementing partner under the government's DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) scheme - exist to close exactly that gap.
Our training halls run courses in tailoring, embroidery, beautician skills, computer literacy and more, taught by experienced trainers and designed around real market demand. For many trainees - including widows, divorcees and women with no prior access to formal education - this is often the first structured skill they've ever been able to call their own.
And training doesn't end at the certificate. Every course is paired with placement support, because a skill only changes a life when it leads to a livelihood.
